Gronau by car

Gronau is easily accessible by car.
The town is located on the A 31 (Emden-Ruhr area)
and A 30 (Amsterdam – Hanover – Berlin) highways.
Due to its proximity to the Dutch city of Enschede (6 km), there is a direct connection to the Benelux highway network.

Gronau by bus & train

The cross-border rail service Gronau – Enschede makes it possible to reach Gronau via the Dutch rail network or the German intercity network (via Münster or Dortmund).

Gronau (Westf) can be reached with the regional train lines RB 51 (Dortmund – Gronau
– Enschede) and RB 64 (Münster – Gronau – Enschede).

The Cotton Express connects Gronau with the towns of Bocholt, Rhede, Burlo, Oeding, Vreden, Alstätte and Bad Bentheim. Gronau can be reached via the R77 and R76 buses via the towns of Ahaus, Stadtlohn, Südlohn and Borken.

Gronau by plane

From Münster – Osnabrück Airport (FMO – approx. 45 minutes by car), Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Amsterdam can be reached several times a day. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is approximately 2 1/2 hours from Gronau and is connected to Gronau via a convenient intercity route.
