Dominic Miller
Dominic Miller, better known as Sting’s trusty side-kick guitarist, has also been a hugely successful solo musician for many years. Bandleader Miller enjoys an enviable reputation both in the professional music world and among music fans around the world. He was born in Buenos Aires to an American father and an Irish mother and studied guitar at the renowned Berklee College in Boston.
He has been a sought-after session musician since the late 80s and has worked with Phil Collins, Katie Melua, Bryan Adams, Paul Young, Nigel Kennedy, Peter Gabriel and Tina Turner, to name but a few. Since the 1991 album “The Soul Cages”, Dominic Miller has been involved in every Sting album and has already played over a thousand concerts with the former “Police” singer.
In addition to Sting classics, the program includes music from Miller’s new album “Vagabond”, which was recorded in the south of France. Together with his outstanding fellow musicians Ziv Ravitz (dr) Nicolas Fiszman (b) and Jason Rebello (p), he presents a fascinating mixture of jazz, pop, acoustic folk, contemporary classical music and Latin elements.

Torsten Goods feat. Viktoria Tolstoy
The name says it all: “Soul Searching”, the new, seventh album by jazz guitarist and singer Torsten Goods, which he will be performing live on stage at Jazzfest Gronau, is influenced by jazz, soul, blues and the laid-back West Coast sounds of the late 70s in California. “Soul Searching” also tells the very personal story of his visual transformation due to an autoimmune disease.
As the musical director of Sarah Connor, co-award winner of the GEMA Music Authors’ Prize and twice nominated for the Echo Jazz award, Goods can also regularly be seen live with Sarah Connor. He celebrates his “Soul Searching” in Gronau with his band consisting of Jan Miserre on keyboards and piano, Felix Lehrmann on drums and Thomas Stieger on bass – perfectly rehearsed for fourteen years and finally on tour again.
Torsten’s recipe for success: “Smooth vocals, fast guitar and feel-good grooves”. As a musical guest star, the band will be supported by none other than one of Sweden’s most brilliant jazz singers: Viktoria Tolstoy. She was already able to impressively demonstrate her unique talent at the Jazzfest 2007. When she performs a song, she shapes and molds it in a unique way – crystal clear, dynamic and wild, yet at the same time earthy and precise
